JANA SZABELA

  You've met Jason...now meet the lady in his life! We would like to welcome Jana Szabela to THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN, in which she will be taking on the role of Penny, Jason's troubled but fiercely independent girlfriend. Jana already earned her "Scream Queen" status by appearing in THE CREEPING, and we look forward to seeing what she will create on screen this summer when the THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN films!

KEELIE SHERIDAN

Keelie is a true renaissance woman…a professionally trained Irish step dancer who has showcased that talent in multiple countries, a teacher who has helped to develop the gifts of many fellow artists, and an actress and writer who has had an unforgettable presence in the NYC theater and arts scene. She worked with friends to form the production company Mind the Art Entertainment, and can be currently seen in The Ume Group’s stage production of DREAM DANCES in Manhattan. Keelie also recently stepped behind the camera to direct and write the short film FATHER’S DAY and, as winner of the prestigious Mitchell Scholarship, will be traveling to Ireland after our shoot has wrapped to study directing at The Lir, Ireland’s National Academy of Dramatic Art at Trinity College Dublin.

RODERICK KLIMEK

 You can't have a Frankenstein film without a creature...and THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN has two!!!! And to bring to life the Older Creature, a brutal creation of Jason's grandfather, we have been fortunate to cast Roderick Klimek!

Roderick combines an in-depth analysis of his characters with a strong physical presence, and his talents were showcased when he starred in Gus Trapani's horror feature ABSOLUTE ZERO, which recently screened at the New York Film Academy. Roderick also has appeared in the films RELENTLESS SCOUNDRELS and AGGRESSION.

MICHAEL WETHERBEE

 We are happy to announce that the cast of THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN has been joined by Michael Wetherbee! Michael will be taking on a role of a dual nature in our film. He will play star college athlete John Ashley, whose body is eventually transformed by Jason into The Creature, the highly intelligent, unpredictable, and seemingly unstoppable product of Jason's experiments. Michael previously starred in the films REBIRTH, ZOMBIE IN A PENGUIN SUIT, and THE STRANGER and recently appeared in LOTUS with our cast members Gina Petronella Sidway and Brendan Boyce!

ROBERT DIX

 THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN team is honored to announce that none other than cult film legend Robert Dix will be appearing in our movie to bring to life the character of Jason’s grandfather!

The son of Academy Award-nominated actor Richard Dix, Bob’s own career began in the 1950s as a contract player for MGM. He appeared in a number of critically-acclaimed features produced by the studio, most notably playing the ill-fated Crewman Grey in the science fiction classic FORBIDDEN PLANET. Other appearances would include such Oscar-winning/nominated titles as I’LL CRY TOMORROW, INTERRUPTED MELODY, and LOVE ME OR LEAVE ME.

In 1958, Bob would make his horror debut with his supporting role in FRANKENSTEIN’S DAUGHTER. He would continue to be a staple of the cult film scene, often appearing in horror and biker films. His performance as the psychotic escaped killer Johnny in 1969’s BLOOD OF DRACULA’S CASTLE marked the first of five collaborations with legendary cult filmmaker Al Adamson, to be followed by SATAN’S SADISTS, FIVE BLOODY GRAVES (which Bob also wrote and co-produced), HELL’S BLOODY DEVILS, and HORROR OF THE BLOOD MONSTERS. During this time, he also appeared in such cult titles as LAS VEGAS STRANGLER, THE ROAD HUSTLERS, WILD WHEELS, THE KILLERS, and the Jack Nicholson biker film THE REBEL ROUSERS.

Bob is also well known to western fans, having appeared in Samuel Fuller’s FORTY GUNS, Andrew V. McLaglen’s THE LITTLE SHEPHERD OF KINGDOM COME, and such hit television shows as THE RIFLEMAN, DEATH VALLEY DAYS, and GUNSMOKE.

And James Bond fans will recall Bob’s appearance as the doomed C.I.A. agent Hamilton in LIVE AND LET DIE, which marked the Bond debut of Roger Moore, Bob’s friend from their days together at MGM.

JIM BOELSEN

Jim made his film debut in the 1977 horror/suspense film THE HAZING (aka THE CURIOUS CASE OF THE CAMPUS CORPSE), memorably playing the definitive college frat goon Phil opposite Jeff East (SUPERMAN) and Charles Martin Smith (AMERICAN GRAFFITI). Jim has subsequently appeared in the cult movies DEAD KIDS (aka STRANGE BEHAVIOR) starring Oscar-winner Louise Fletcher (ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST) and THE MALIBU BIKINI SHOP with Bruce Greenwood (THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES, STAR TREK). As a nod to his first film appearance, Jim will make his return to the horror genre by taking on the role of a college dean in THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN.

BRETT OWEN

 THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN cast has been joined by Brett Owen! Brett has tackled some of the stage's most challenging roles, including Captain Queeg in THE CAINE MUTINY COURT MARTIAL, John Merrick in THE ELEPHANT MAN, George in OF MICE AND MEN, and Leon Czolgosz in ASSASSINS. In our film, he will bring to life the role of Hugh Frankenstein, Jason's father!

JEFF RAIANO

 Since grave robbers are a bit more difficult to come by in the 21st century than they were in the 19th, Jason Frankenstein uses the services of a pair of drug dealing paramedics to obtain the bodies he needs for his experiments. And digging into the role of Randolph Strock, the leader of this duo, is Jeff Raiano! Jeff previously starred in the features THE WINTER OF MY DISCONTENT, DEATH BEFORE DISCOMFORT and THE (OTHER) ONE.

ULISSES GONSALVES

 To procure the bodies needed for his experiments, Jason Frankenstein must turn to a pair of drug-dealing paramedics to be his modern day Burke and Hare, and we are ecstatic that Ulisses Gonsalves will be joining the cast of THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN to play Kevin Winsted, one half of this body-snatching duo!

Ulisses brings a dynamic presence to his work and can be seen in the series THE HIGHWAYMEN, MIX & MASTER, and SUPER KNOCKED UP - Web Series, as well as the films A WILD LUNACY ON A WEDNESDAY NIGHT and SOUL OF THE EARTH.

CHARITY BUCKBEE

 Next to join the cast of THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN is Charity Buckbee! Having studied her craft in the Theatre program at the University at Albany, Charity has appeared in such films as BRACKISH, ZOMBIES!, FIGHTING FOR FREEDOM, WITCH, and SLADE COLLINS: IN AND OUT OF TIME, and, in our film, will be taking on the role of Cassie, a hitchhiker who crosses paths with Jason and his creation.

CHRISTINA REEVES

Christina left us speechless with her gripping monologue from Woody Allen's ANOTHER WOMAN and, in our film, will be playing Barb, an actress who has a key, chance encounter with Jason.

Christina has also appeared in the films H., BRACKISH, and SLAUGHTER, and recently wrapped shooting on the horror movie NIGHT TERROR.

DANIEL XIII

 Horror fans will be excited to hear that THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN cast now includes Daniel XIII, writer for the classic horror fanzine Famous Monsters of Filmland! This will not be Daniel's first cinematic involvement, having already been associate producer and staff artist on the acclaimed documentary MY NAME IS JONAH. He is also developing his novel The House of Thirteen Doors into a feature film. In our movie, Daniel will play one of Randolph and Kevin's fellow paramedics!

DAVID ORENGO JR.

 THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN welcomes David Orengo Jr., to its cast! David has been active both onstage and behind the curtain at the historic Glove Performing Arts Center and was seen in their recent production of THE 39 STEPS. In our film, he will be playing Sage, one of Jason's co-workers at Richard E. Cunha Memorial Hospital.

DAVID SHERIN

Our newest addition to the cast of THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN is David Sherin! David played Dr. McCoy in an episode of the hit fan series STAR TREK: NEW VOYAGES (formerly known as STAR TREK: PHASE II) and also appeared in the films FIREWIRE, WHY CAN'T YOU BE A FRIEND, and LAST DANCE. David will help bring to life the opening scene of our film, playing a man who attempts to stop the older creature as it chases one of its prey!

GINA PETRONELLA SIDWAY

We are happy to have the incredibly talented Gina Petronella Sidway join the cast of THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN! Coming off her work in the movies BRINK: The Film, MIDNIGHT OVER MARBLEHEAD, HOME, and the horror film BRACKISH, Gina will be bringing to life our scenes with cult icon Jim Boelsen, playing the secretary to his college president!

JOHN MAC SCHNURR

Our newest addition to the cast of THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN is John Mac Schnurr! John captivated us with his performance in the film ALL YOU ALIENS and can also be seen in BEASTS OF MEN, MR. RIGHTEOUS, WILD LUNACY, and the web series SUPER KNOCKED UP. John will be taking on the role of Gary Clarke, a brilliant college student whose academic achievements unwittingly draw him into Jason’s plans…

JOHN SCHMIEDERER

Next to join the cast of THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN is John Schmiederer! John recently starred in the films MR. RIGHTEOUS and DEATH BEFORE DISCOMFORT and has also been seen in the series THE WIG PEOPLE and JON BENJAMIN HAS A VAN. He will appear in our film as Dr. David Hewitt, a surgeon and colleague of Jason!

KAYLEE O'MALLEY

The latest addition to THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN's roster of talented, young performers is Kaylee O'Malley! Kaylee has been keeping busy with local theater and dance and, in our feature, will be playing one of the young, field trip students seen in the movie's climax!

LEIGH PACYNA

Next to be in the cast of THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN is Leigh Pacyna! Leigh appeared in the series CHASING FAIRY TAIL, and, in our film, will be playing Donna Anders, Gary Clarke's girlfriend!

Maya Danit Kamenir

We would like to welcome to THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN cast a very talented young lady by the name of Maya Danit Kamenir! Maya's work has been seen in a number of theatrical productions staged by The Cue Theatre, Inc. and Steamer No.10 Theatre and will appear in our film as a courageous schoolgirl who comes to Jason's aid in the film's climax.

NATHAN COVEY

Our next addition to the cast of THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN is Nathan Covey! Nathan has been active in local theater and will be joining our production to play a member of a school field trip which crosses paths with Jason and one of our film's creatures.

OLGA N. BOGDANOVA

We're excited to announce that Olga N. Bogdanova has joined the cast of THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN! Olga's film credits include SLADE COLLINS: IN AND OUT OF TIME, THINGS UNSEEN, BUG HUNT, and the Batman fan film CAPED CRUSADER: THE DARK HOURS, in which she played DC Comics character Shiva. In our film, she will be bringing to life the role of Shawna, Randolph's girlfriend.

REBECCA LYNNE HOFFAY

 We're excited that THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN cast will be joined by Rebecca Lynne Hoffay! Rebecca is no stranger to horror films, having already appeared in the genre titles 11 OAKWOOD DRIVE and DELIRIUM. In our film, she will bring alive our opening sequence, as she attempts to take a stand against the Older Creature in one of our films more...shall we say..."jaw-dropping" sequences!

ROBERT N. GOING

 We would like to welcome Robert N. Going to the cast of THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN! The acting bug first bit Robert years ago, when he appeared as an extra in the classic Robert Redford-Barbra Streisand film THE WAY WE WERE. A career in law beckoned, but Robert remained active in the arts as co-host of radio's THE SHOW WITH NO NAME and author of several books. He will be making his return to the screen as one of Jason's medical colleagues. AND we should note that Robert is not the first thespian in his family, as he counts among his forbears 1940s MGM starlet Lucille Bremer (MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS, YOLANDA AND THE THIEF)!

ROGER KENNEDY

We would like to welcome Roger Kennedy to the cast of THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN! Roger blew us away with his audition monologue from PATTON and will be appearing in our film as one of Jason's medical colleagues. Roger's other screen credits include RAZOR, FOURTH MAN OUT, and H., which not too long ago met with acclaim at the Film Independent Spirit Awards.

RYLEIGH PHILLIPS

THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN team is excited to add Ryleigh Phillips to our cast! Ryleigh, who has appeared in local stage productions, will be playing one of the young field trip students in our movie's climactic scene!

SEAN WELLS

As THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN plays out the story of Jason Frankenstein as an adult, it takes time to look back at his youth. And cast in the role of the younger Jason is Sean Wells! Sean, who has been active in local theater, killed it at our auditions with his monologue from CARRIE, and we knew instantly he would be perfect for the part!

SKYLER O'MALLEY

 Our latest addition to the cast of THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN is Skyler O'Malley! Skyler has been active in both dance and theater and also appeared in the film HOMETOWN GIRL. In our film, she will be playing a friend of Randolph's family in a key flashback scene.

BRENDAN BOYCE

We'd like to next welcome to our cast Brendan Boyce! Brendan has appeared in such films as BOTTLED UP, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES, and THE ROAD TO WELLVILLE, and recently wrapped shooting on the serial killer film LOTUS. His audition monologue as Dr. Loomis from John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN would have made Donald Pleasence proud, and we're excited that he will be joining our cast to play one of Jason's medical colleagues!

JAY LEONARD - PRODUCER

As founder of independent film company, Trenchmouth Productions, Jay has written and directed three features of his own (The Winter of My Discontent, Death Before Discomfort and The (Other) One)  and mentored countless artistic endeavors.  Jay displays the ability to be versatile with work in films, to music recordings, to podcasts. With his years of experience in film, Jay will help our production run all the more smoothly.

JOHN KENIFIC - DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

THE LAST FRANKENSTEIN team is honored to have been joined in our endeavor by director of photography John Kenific! John began work in the film medium following a career as an illustrator and designer. The founder of Keniscope Moving Pictures, he has been active in both the commercial and narrative branches of film. He directed and wrote ONE LAST LOOK, to be released soon, and his short film THE SENSITIVE FURY OF CHUY LOBOS won him the North American Grand Prize in the VISIONary Director Award from AMD and director Robert Rodriguez.

JARED BALOG - SFX MAKE-UP ARTIST

Jared’s work has been featured in such films as ABSOLUTE ZERO, CRYPTID, PROJECT D-CLASSIFIED, and the web series SUPER KNOCKED UP, as well as displayed work at FantaCon 2014.  Jared is also a director and writer whose recent feature "MR. RIGHTEOUS" screened at the NYC Independent Film Festival.
